Zach Verbin, MSS, LCSW

Zach Verbin (he/him/his) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and certified Home and School Visitor (HSV). He provides individual and group therapy services to adults of all ages. In addition to psychotherapy, Zach provides clinical social work services to children and families in school settings. Zach is also a musician (guitar, vocals, percussion), and enjoys supporting artists and creative minds of all types.

Fostering trusting relationships forms the basis of Zach’s therapy practice. Together, he and his clients practice mind-body awareness, authentic relating, and mindfulness/meditation techniques to encourage personal growth and healing. Zach guides his clients with warmth, respect, and an honest appreciation for humor. He believes that by establishing safety with one’s therapist, the stage is set to turn inward with curiosity and courage.

Zach’s clinical interests include relationship and social dynamics, childhood trauma, gender and sexuality, addiction, loss and grief, existential issues, and life transitions. His therapy is informed by Gestalt Psychology, Attachment Theory, and Family Systems methodologies.

Zach holds a Bachelor of Science in Recording Arts. He received his Master of Social Service from the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research in 2019. He is a recipient of the McPherson Award for Excellence at Bryn Mawr College and was co-chair of the Graduate Student Association. Zach is a white, cis-gender male of European descent. He loves nature, travel, and the 2001 Philadelphia 76ers.
